“Hanamomo no sato” is situated in a spot that might be called the Shangri-la of Kumakōgen-chō. The site traces its beginnings to 2008 when married couple Kū-chan and Shige-san planted 40 blossoming peach trees in the field in front of their house with spirits of warm-hearted hospitality and smiling faces as something to look forward to in old age.
As they made expansions year by year, reclaiming abandoned fields and clearing bamboo thickets, by 2018 they had a renowned location with around 450 blossoming peach trees. The site is set up with an observation deck for viewing the blossoms as well, and the prime season is early to mid April. Be sure to stop by when the trees are in full blossom!
